Our Teachers
Beth Marshall
I strongly believe that a comprehensive approach to music and movement education is not only about the music; it prepares the mind and body for learning, it gives a person tools to relieve stress and increase focus, and it helps build relationships, creating a sense of unity for those participating. We start together in Family Music Well classes and continue toward keyboarding! Children are prepared to extend their music aptitude toward new instruments; including further piano study! It is my joy and passion to teach music to young children!
I am a life long musician! My voice is my main instrument along with piano and guitar. I am a licensed Musikgarten teacher with 20+ years experience in music & movement education and I hold a Level III Certification through Early Childhood Music & Movement Association (ECMMA). I have presented music workshops to teachers, administrators and music professionals through ECMMA and at the Madison School District's professional development conference, Launching into Literacy & Math.
With a degree in Community Health Education & Sociology, I really appreciate the holistic value of learning and interacting in groups. I dig into the current research on the important, lifelong effects that music & singing has on the brain, our bodies, and spirit. And I advocate for increased public knowledge and priority for financially supporting early childhood education and quality, developmentally appropriate, early music education experiences.
My husband, Brent, and I live in Verona WI with our dog Finnegan, and cat Amber! We like to hike, bike and paddleboard together (minus the cat, she stays home)!
I look forward to growing in relationship with you through Music Well experiences!
