Private, Partner & Group Pre-Piano and Piano:

Siblings in piano lessons, private or group, receive 10% tuition credit

CANCELLATIONS, MISSED LESSONS, WEATHER:

There is not a reimbursement for missed lessons.  If you know that you will be gone, please try to make arrangements to trade lesson times with a fellow student. Contact me for names & numbers. If I (teacher) need to cancel lessons/classes for any reason, make-up lessons will be offered or credit given for missed lesson/class.
If the Verona School District has weather cancellation, piano lessons may be canceled with no make-up, however, a virtual lesson may be arranged for same day and time.
If there is a delay of school, lessons will follow the regular schedule.
I understand that sport schedules cause changes throughout the year.  We'll need to make adjustments as needed.

COMMITMENTS & PRACTICE ROUTINE:
Participating in regularly scheduled lessons is a commitment for both the student and the teacher.  As a teacher, I am committed to being prepared for each lesson with varied and developmentally appropriate materials and teaching techniques.  I strive to follow the interest of the child and bring enthusiasm to each lesson.  Each student must make a commitment too!  To come to lessons with a willingness to learn and try new things, and to be prepared with adequate practice for their lesson.  Regular practice is essential.  Becoming a competent pianist/vocalist will not happen without the hard work.  Beginner students may practice 10 minutes a day, and find that is enough, if it is truly every day!  As the number of songs, length, and difficulty increase, it is recommended that the student strive for 20-30 minutes of practice daily.

Classes for Children Under 4

Siblings:
Siblings receive 10% class/lesson tuition discount for enrollment in the same class of similar age grouping.  Contact Beth for pricing of sibling "tag alongs."

CLASS:
Please try to be one time.  Being present during the "greeting" song affirms your child as a person; you won't want to miss that opportunity.

Dress for “moving and dancing!”

Outdoor classes - please bring a blanket for your family, family pods spaced apart at the discretion of each family.  Masks are optional.

Indoor classes will occur when the weather is inclemental and masks are optional.  Virtual class will remain an option during inclement weather.

Food, toys or other "distractions" often cause problems rather than provide comfort when brought into music class. Since another child might want your child’s drink or stuffed animal, it is often easier to leave those things at home or in the car.

Purchase Family Materials which come with an instrument pack.  Special instruments like drums or other percussion instruments will be supplied for one time use and returned to an instrument tub for cleaning.

OBSERVATIONS:
Understand that all children learn at different rates and in different ways.  Some children will be quiet in class, others will be active.  Some children will do everything perfectly at home, but not in class.  As a parent, you know that every child is unique, so check your comparisons at the door and let the music work it's magic!

NON-REFUNDABLE Cancelation Policy
By registering for lessons or classes, you are enrolling your child for a full program.  Classes are by sessions or semesters.  These are paid in full per semester or per class session at the beginning of the program (due date will be listed).  Piano lessons are full school year.  For piano, payments can be made monthly, by semester or by the full lesson year.  Partial refunds or credit are given ONLY in unusual circumstances (moving out of the area or prolonged illness), or if the class is canceled.

A one month notice is required to stop piano lessons.  If your child does not attend lessons during that one month, payment is still collected.
